Pats over Saints
I’m pretty depressed that my predictions for the SB invovlve the Aints, I usually make fun of people that pick the Saints because the saints are all offense and they think Bush is good enough to be a #1 back……
Here is my defense, The Saints got Darren Sharper (Awesome Safety) and Malcom Jenkins. TWO DBs. That was far and away their biggest flaw and they have gone a ways to fix it. I don’t know what they’ll do with bush as a RB, maybe they’ll never run. Maybe P.J. Hill will be a beast, I don’t know.
What I do know, is that we are in the Post-Cardinals-in-a-Super-Bowl-Era in the NFL. This basically means that any team can magically step up and play defense in the playoffs and start a mega playoff run to the superbowl, no matter how bad that they are. In fact, ESPECIALLY if they are bad. Talking heads will predict losses, then they’ll use it as “nobody believes in us” motivation. Seems to happen every year. Last year, Cardinals. Before that it was the Giants. Before THAT it was the Colts.

How about we let the season at least start first?
I don’t see the point in asking these questions, especially with so much parity in the NFL, and the potential for injuries to star players. Anything can happen. Who thought the Cardinals would be in the Super Bowl (two words, proper noun) even toward the end of the ’08 season?
